Letting The World Know I Have DSL
So today, as I enjoy the Vicodan induced haze of having a failed crown and new impressions taken, I decided to tell my old address book that I have a new email address as well as high-speed. (The G-neekians already knew this, because they read my brain-waves before they read my blog.)
And my address book said, "Shit! I gotta tell the world!' So it did. And the results were amazing!
I have heard from people I haven't talked to - either on the phone or via email- in a while. I even got pictures of me. In one fell swoop, I got contact with good friends that temporarily dropped off the life-radar (but not forgotten - that is how life-radar is).
The good news is that my friends miss me. The "bad" news is I miss my friends.
I recommend that if you can't switch email providers occasionally, at least send a blanket email to say "HI". Who knows, you might get invited out for a drink, get news about a new baby, or get an invite for an oily quickie/nooner.
